Competitive Programs

We have something for every age group and skill level.

Pre Team

Ages 5-7 years - Student to Staff ratio is set at 8:1

This is a class designed for advanced students who demonstrate three traits: an ability to listen and take direction of coach and implement changes in performance, natural athletic ability and an inner passion and desire for the sport of gymnastics. It is by coaches’ invitation only. Coaches will discuss this as an option with parents and must be agreed to by all participants. The class meets twice a week and focuses on strength, flexibility and level 3&4 skills as described in the USAG “Code of Points” for compulsory gymnastics.

Girls Hot Shots

USA Gymnastics Xcel Program

Ages 5 years and up - Classes meet two or three times per week for three hours each class.

The USAG XCEL Program is a USA Gymnastics sanctioned program designed to offer an affordable competitive alternative to the traditional USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic competitive programs. The purpose of the Xcel Program is to present recreational gymnasts the opportunity to participate in competition and/or provide Junior Olympic competitive gymnasts the opportunity to continue competition without the intense time commitment.

USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic

Ages 6 and up - Classes are 3-4 hours long, up to 4 days per week.

For the truly dedicated gymnast. Students in these classes have expressed a desire and commitment to the competitive side of gymnastics. In these classes the students are perfecting routines and all manners of skills and skill levels. There is extensive emphasis on the flexibility and core strength training necessary to compete at the highest levels. These gymnasts are expected to compete with the team at all meets.

Girls Junior Olympic

Levels 1 through 10. Levels 1&2 are taught in recreational and pre team classes. Compulsory levels 3, 4, 5. Optional levels 6 through 10.

Boys Junior Olympic

Levels 1 through 10. Levels 1&2 are taught in recreational and pre team classes. Compulsory levels 3, 4, 5. Optional levels 6 through 10.

Hosted Meets

Excel Gymnastics hosts three USA Gymnastics competitions each year. One for the Xcel program on Labor Day weekend, one for Boys JO in January and one for Girls JO on Memorial Day weekend.
